About The Position

GE Vernova – Grid Software provides mission-critical industrial software to Electric Transmission, Distribution, and Wholesale Energy Market companies globally. We are seeking a specialized Pre-Sales Solution Architect to support our GridOS® Advanced Energy/Trasmission Management System (AEMS) across the NAM region. In this role, you will be a subject matter expert demonstrating how our GridOS solutions meet the rigorous demands of Transmission System Operators (TSOs). You will collaborate with internal development, technical pre-sales, and commercial teams to build pipeline, drive strategic sales, and accelerate the transition to a zero-carbon grid. You will excel at translating complex transmission challenges into impactful solutions through "day-in-the-life" storytelling and technical leadership.

Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Power Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Software Engineering.
  • Domain Expertise: Familiarity with Transmission utility operations in the NAM region and experience with SCADA operational control systems.
  • Advanced Applications: Knowledge of State Estimation, Optimal Power Flow (OPF), Contingency Analysis, Security Constrained Dispatch, and Transmission Grid Stability.
  • Modern IT/OT: Experience with highly available, self-healing systems, containerization, and microservices.
  • Protocols & Security: Understanding of DNP3, ICCP, and IEC 61850 standards, as well as cybersecurity best practices for operational systems
  • 7+ years of experience as a customer-facing technical solution architect.

  • Grid Innovation: Knowledge of WAMS, renewable energy integration, and DERMS software solutions Cross Functional knowledge and experience in Distribution Management and DERMS systems is a bonus.
  • Cloud Architecture: Experience designing operational systems in cloud environments such as AWS or Azure.

Responsibilities

  • Solution Orchestration: Design and grow a deep understanding of GridOS AEMS (Advanced EMS) and Wide Area Management Systems (WAMS) for prospects across the APAC region.
  • Trusted Advisor: Build credibility with customer technologists and internal GE Vernova stakeholders as a domain expert.
  • Strategic Demonstrations: Lead high-level presentations and technical demonstrations of the GridOS AEMS suite.
  • Market Alignment: Translate electrical market standards and regional regulations into GE Vernova’s integrated product offerings.
  • Technical Proposals: Lead the development of technical proposals, ensuring they align with customer expectations and architectural requirements.
  • Industry Presence: Represent GE Vernova at sales forums, industry events, and conferences to increase awareness and drive solution demand.
  • Global Collaboration: Interface with global AEMS teams to standardize best practices using LEAN principles.
  • Architecture Design: Define AEMS control center configurations and design system architectures that meet both customer requirements and GE Vernova standards.
