Peraton is seeking a Senior Software Test Automation Engineer to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. The ideal candidate is a senior testing professional who thrives in dynamic environments, provides leadership across Agile, Waterfall, and Hybrid methodologies, and ensures testing excellence through proactive guidance and cross-team collaboration. This position will be in Lanham, Maryland What will you do: Conduct functional and/or integration testing of multiple programs in an IBM mainframe or client/server environment. Proactively identify use cases for test automation within supported projects. Use test automation tools to execute test scripts that validate functional, technical, and performance requirements. Use Government or Contractor-developed documentation to construct test cases with predetermined results and test data to verify program functionality and/or interfaces through assigned systems. Review output to determine whether the test results fulfill the established requirements, and if necessary, notify the responsible programmers, both verbally and in writing, of errors, omissions, and inconsistencies in the programs and/or documentation. Coordinate test activities with project stakeholders. Coordinate work assignments to ensure timely and accurate completion of testing. Train other contractors or government personnel in use of automated testing tools. Lead and oversee testing activities with initiative and accountability, applying deep expertise while guiding others and rapidly adapting to new systems and domains.
