About The Position

Develop and maintain automated integration and system‑level tests that strengthen our automation pipeline and support consistent, release‑ready deliverables. Build innovative testing solutions using modern tools and frameworks to support ongoing product excellence and market leadership. Partner with your team to refine processes, improve test environments, and integrate high‑quality practices into daily development workflows. Debug, troubleshoot, and validate software issues across both unreleased and customer‑facing products, ensuring strong product performance and reliability. You quickly make sense of complex information and break it down into clear, actionable steps that drive meaningful progress. You actively seek out diverse viewpoints, ask thoughtful questions, and collaborate effectively to understand challenges from multiple angles. You take a systematic approach to problems, using data and experimentation to guide decisions while maintaining a strong commitment to quality. You stay curious and adaptable, continuously refining your skills and exploring new technologies to improve both your work and the team’s outcomes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Chemical Engineering, or a related field, along with relevant experience
  • 5+ years’ experience testing software products and designing test cases from a user perspective, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Ability to develop automated tests using tools such as C#, .Net, Python, Git, Bash/PowerShell scripting, and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Strong analytical thinking, with a desire to explore new technologies and apply them to solve test automation challenges.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively in Agile development environments.
  • Commitment to building high‑quality work through consistent testing, debugging, and documentation practices.
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States. Must be a U.S. Citizen or U.S. Permanent Resident (Green Card holder). Emerson will not petition for H-1B visas for this position.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience automating tests for embedded systems, firmware, or hardware‑integrated products.
  • Hands‑on experience with test automation tools such as Selenium, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps, or other CI/CD platforms.
  • Experience in API and/or Integration testing
  • Experience developing and executing automated integration tests, system tests, or hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) tests.
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies and participation in sprint planning, retrospectives, code reviews, or test design reviews.
