The Global Governance and Security Risk Management team at Walmart plays a critical role in safeguarding the world’s largest retail ecosystem. Operating at the intersection of innovation and security, our team is responsible for designing and delivering platforms that enforce compliance, ensure secure access, building highly impactful and scalable solutions. We partner closely with business, product, and technology teams to embed security into every layer of Walmart’s digital operations, enabling the business to scale confidently and securely. The team is also actively exploring and applying cutting-edge Generative AI and agentic technologies to drive automation, intelligent risk mitigation, and adaptive security frameworks across the enterprise. As a Senior Software Engineer, you will lead and participate in medium- to large-scale projects by reviewing project requirements; translating requirements into technical solutions; gathering requested information (for example, design documents, product requirements, wire frames); writing and developing code; conducting unit testing; communicating status and issues to team members and stakeholders; collaborating with project team and cross functional teams; troubleshooting open issues and bug-fixes; ensuring on-time delivery and hand-offs; interacting with project manager to provide inputs on project plan; and providing updates to the project team. You will be more responsible for designing, developing, and deploying scalable full stack applications, including user interfaces, backend services, data pipelines, and AI/ML integrations.
