About The Position

Galapagos Federal Systems, LLC is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Software Engineer to join our team. This position offers the opportunity to lead critical initiatives alongside a diverse and talented group of professionals dedicated to advancing mission success. The Senior Software Engineer will support Navy C4I programs by driving the design, development, and sustainment of advanced software solutions that enable mission-critical operations. This senior role requires deep expertise in software engineering, proficiency with modern development methodologies, and the ability to transform complex requirements into secure, reliable, and mission-ready systems. The successful candidate will leverage their professional software engineering experience to provide technical leadership, guide development teams, and collaborate with stakeholders to ensure all solutions meet DoD standards, cybersecurity requirements, and operational objectives.

Requirements

  • Active Top Secret with SCI eligibility
  • 10+ years of professional software engineering experience
  • Strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to lead software design, development, and testing activities
  • Proven experience applying Agile, DevOps, or DevSecOps methodologies to complex projects
  • Deep understanding of secure software development practices, coding standards, and compliance requirements
  • Master’s degree in a quantitative field such as Engineering Mathematics Electrical Engineering Computer Engineering Computer Science Information Technology or Information Systems
  • Agile Developer certification or Certified Scrum Developer certification
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen. A high-level Department of Defense active security clearance is/may be required. Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to government information.

  • Apply programming concepts and modern development methodologies (Agile, DevOps, DevSecOps) to deliver secure, reliable systems
  • Collaborate with stakeholders and multidisciplinary teams to translate complex requirements into mission-ready solutions
  • Ensure compliance with secure software development lifecycles, coding standards, and DoD frameworks
  • Deliver mission-critical software solutions on schedule and within defined scope
