About The Position

Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Software Engineer in the Consumer Technology Deposits team. This role involves leading moderately complex initiatives and deliverables within technical domain environments, contributing to large-scale planning of strategies, and designing, coding, testing, debugging, and documenting for projects and programs associated with technology domain, including upgrades and deployments. The engineer will also review moderately complex technical challenges that require an in-depth evaluation of technologies and procedures, resolve moderately complex issues, and lead a team to meet existing client needs or potential new client needs while leveraging a solid understanding of the function, policies, procedures, or compliance requirements. Collaboration and consultation with peers, colleagues, and mid-level managers are expected to resolve technical challenges and achieve goals. Additionally, the position includes leading projects and acting as an escalation point, providing guidance and direction to less experienced staff.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

Nice To Haves

  • Expert‑level Tricentis Tosca (UI, API, Test Data, Data Integrity)
  • Strong API automation and microservices testing experience
  • Hands‑on SQL and backend/data validation
  • CI/CD integration experience with modern DevOps pipelines
  • Strong Java foundation (JUnit, Cucumber, Rest Assured preferred)
  • Banking / Financial Services experience, preferably Deposits or Core Banking
  • Proven leadership, stakeholder communication, and mentoring skills
