Job Summary We're looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join Koddi's Reporting & Insights team. This team owns the data, services, and infrastructure that power analytics across Koddi's platform—reporting here is a core product capability, not a downstream afterthought. You'll help evolve our reporting platform toward greater scale, correctness, and self-service while delivering meaningful, customer-facing features. This role is well-suited for engineers who enjoy operating production systems at scale, exercising sound engineering judgment, and contributing to the direction of a professionally run data platform.

Requirements

Strong backend experience in Go (preferred) or similar languages, with expertise building APIs (REST/gRPC)
Advanced SQL skills with a focus on analytical query patterns and performance optimization
Experience designing and operating event-driven systems, streaming pipelines, or ETL workflows
Comfort with cloud-native, containerized systems and infrastructure-as-code
Strong observability instincts—you've built dashboards, defined SLOs, and debugged production issues with traces and logs
Real experience operating systems at scale: on-call rotations, incident response, and the rigor required to run reliable services

Nice To Haves

Experience with large-scale reporting or analytics platforms in production preferred
Track record of improving system reliability, performance, and de-buggability through pragmatic engineering decisions preferred
Familiarity with safely evolving data models in customer-facing systems preferred

Responsibilities

Design, build, and maintain backend services and APIs that support high-volume analytics workloads across our Go-based service layer
Own schema design and query performance for our SingleStore analytical database, with data pipelines running through Databricks
Define and manage service health through SLOs, dashboards, and alerting in Datadog—we take observability seriously
Help steer the evolution of our reporting platform: reducing manual workflows, improving operability, and enabling self-service capabilities
Balance delivery of high-impact features with long-term system health—making deliberate tradeoffs, not reactive ones
Partner with product and cross-functional teams to shape reporting requirements and drive delivery decisions
Mentor engineers through design reviews, operational guidance, and incident leadership
