About The Position

Fidelity Investments Workplace Investing (WI) organization is looking for a Senior Software Engineer specializing in test to join one of the Client Reporting squads within our Data Out - Client Reporting domain tasked with modernizing the outbound reporting platform and strategy within our market leading global equity compensation platform.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in a technology related field (Computer Science, Engineering, etc.) required
  • 7+ years of relevant technical experience and experience in test automation
  • Experience with PL/SQL and complex queries, views, packages etc.
  • Strong SQL skills plus Java and Python development experience
  • 2+ years of Big Data, Data Lake or Data Warehouse experience is desired
  • Experience with ETL Data Pipeline testing of Data Warehouse platforms; exposure to iCEDQ test tool preferred
  • Experienced in Big Data Reporting Tools (OBIEE / Tableau / Power BI)
  • Familiarity with business intelligence reporting platforms, such as Power BI, would be advantageous
  • Playwright, Selenium knowledge good to have but not must
  • Strong working knowledge of relational databases, like Oracle or Postgres, and data lake/warehouse concepts, such as Snowflake
  • Knowledge of data pipeline testing will be a distinct advantage
  • Ability to work effectively with product development, external teams, and management
  • Knowledge of CI/CD Pipelines
  • Experience as Software Engineer in test automation of RESTful services (Cucumber, Junit, Selenium, RestAssured, Git, Gradle, Maven)
  • Data Engineer working with the latest Big Data technologies and tools (Snowflake, Airflow, AWS, Azure)
  • Expert knowledge in test automation frameworks and demonstrate proficiency, quality and passion in your coding ability
  • Experience with UI and Microservices Architecture, Restful API's, Enterprise messaging like ActiveMQ, Kafka
  • Experience with DevOps, Continuous Integration and Delivery tools like Jenkins, Maven, uDeploy, Stash
  • Your experience in executing projects in an Agile environment.
  • Your ability to collaborate with other technical and business experts in the team
  • Curiosity to stay current with new and emerging technologies and concepts, finding ways to apply those to business problems.
  • Your passion to follow modern test driven and automation driven software development methodologies.
  • Keeping the focus of the work in terms of Customer obsession.
  • Embrace continuous improvement regarding application quality and stability.
  • Strong sense of ownership for the quality of solution delivery.
  • Being candid and honest in all discussions to ensure the best outcomes.
