About The Position

Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Software Engineer in Technology as part of Consumer Technology and Generative AI. Wells Fargo's Consumer Technology team is building a new, world-class Generative AI Solution Engineering group, and we are looking for talented Senior Software Engineers to be the core builders of our innovative products. This is your chance to work on cutting-edge technology that will impact millions of customers and help shape the future of finance. As a Senior Software Engineer, you will be a key hands-on contributor responsible for the development, testing, and deployment of sophisticated Generative AI applications. You will work within a dedicated engineering pod, collaborating with technical leaders to transform architectural designs into robust, scalable, and secure software. If you are passionate about writing high-quality code and solving complex problems in the AI space, we want you on our team.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
  • 2+ years of experience in Generative AI, LLMs, or Foundation models
  • 2+ years of experience with either GCP, AZURE , Kubernetes or OpenShift
  • 2+ years of experience in Python.

Nice To Haves

  • Strong understanding of cloud security principles, identity and access management (IAM), data encryption, and network security in a public or hybrid cloud context.
  • Experience building and operating systems in a highly regulated industry (e.g., Financial Services).
  • Proven experience as a technical lead or architect, with a history of mentoring senior engineers.
  • Contributions to open-source projects in the AI/ML space.

Responsibilities

  • Lead moderately complex initiatives and deliverables within technical domain environments
  • Contribute to large scale planning of strategies
  • Design, code, test, debug, and document for projects and programs associated with technology domain, including upgrades and deployments
  • Review moderately complex technical challenges that require an in-depth evaluation of technologies and procedures
  • Resolve moderately complex issues and lead a team to meet existing client needs or potential new clients needs while leveraging solid understanding of the function, policies, procedures, or compliance requirements
  • Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, and mid-level managers to resolve technical challenges and achieve goals
  • Lead projects and act as an escalation point, provide guidance and direction to less experienced staff
