About the Role: We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join our Developer Experience team and build the tools, systems, and workflows that make our engineering organization more productive. You'll focus on release engineering, CI/CD pipelines, testing infrastructure, AI tooling, and metrics-driven improvements that help developers ship faster and more reliably. We're happy to share that this is an onsite position in our San Francisco office. To help foster team collaboration, we require that employees be in the office a minimum of three days per week : Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday and as needed by your manager or the company. Requirements

  • 5+ years of professional software engineering experience, with significant time spent on developer tooling, CI/CD, testing infrastructure, or release engineering
  • Previous experience as a product engineer building features and shipping code to production
  • Strong programming skills in languages such as Python, Go, TypeScript, or PHP
  • Deep experience with CI/CD systems (e.g., GitHub Actions, CircleCI) and automated testing frameworks
  • Hands-on experience with release engineering, deployment strategies (blue/green, canary, feature flags), and rollback procedures
  • Comfortable with data analysis and metrics—you know how to measure developer productivity and use data to drive improvements
  • Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code (Terraform) and configuration management tools
  • Strong systems thinking with the ability to identify bottlenecks and design scalable solutions
  • Excellent communication skills; able to understand developer needs and advocate for productivity improvements

Responsibilities

  • Develop internal tools and platforms that reduce friction in the development workflow—from local development to production deployment
  • Design and build CI/CD pipelines and release automation systems that enable safe, fast deployments across our engineering organization
  • Create and maintain testing infrastructure, including frameworks, tooling, and environments that improve test coverage and developer confidence
  • Establish metrics and observability for developer experience, measuring build times, deployment frequency, test reliability, and other key indicators
  • Partner with product engineering teams to understand pain points and design solutions that scale across the organization
  • Lead technical initiatives to improve code quality, test automation, and release processes
  • Mentor engineers on testing best practices, CI/CD patterns, and developer productivity techniques
