About The Position

The Role We’re looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join Wizard’s Customer & Applications pod, focused on building the user-facing products that power our agentic commerce experience. In this role, you'll work across the stack to design and deliver intuitive, high-impact product experiences for merchants and end users. You'll help shape a conversational commerce experience built around an intelligent shopping agent and own critical customer-facing systems like authentication, marketing integrations, and A/B experimentation. You'll partner closely with product, design, and AI/ML teams to bring new features to life, from ideation to production. Our team contributes to every step of the user journey and paves the way for the next generation of e-commerce. You’ll primarily work in Node.js / TypeScript and React, owning everything from backend services to polished frontend interfaces. This is a highly product-oriented role where engineering, user experience, and speed of iteration all matter.

Requirements

4–6+ years of professional software engineering experience
Strong experience building full-stack applications using Node.js / TypeScript and modern frontend frameworks (React preferred)
Experience building user-facing products with a focus on performance and usability
Familiarity with RESTful and/or GraphQL APIs
Experience working with SQL (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and/or NoSQL databases
Solid understanding of web application architecture and system design
Experience collaborating closely with product and design teams
Comfortable working in fast-paced environments with evolving requirements

Nice To Haves

Experience integrating with third-party APIs is a plus
Exposure to ecommerce or marketplace products (e.g., Shopify) is a plus

Responsibilities

Build and ship user-facing features and applications that drive core product experiences for merchants and customers
Own features end-to-end across frontend (React) and backend (Node.js / TypeScript)
Collaborate closely with product, design, and AI/ML teams to translate ambiguous ideas into high-quality user experiences
Design and implement scalable APIs and services that support product functionality
Contribute to frontend architecture and component systems to enable fast, consistent development
Drive experimentation and iteration, including A/B testing and rapid prototyping
Participate in technical design discussions, making thoughtful tradeoffs between speed, quality, and scalability
Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code
Improve application performance, usability, and reliability across the product surface
Contribute to team best practices through code reviews, documentation, and technical discussions
