Requirements

  • Minimum of Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of experience and education in a technically relevant discipline
  • Minimum of 10 years Sales/Application Engineering Experience in a technical product environment
  • Experience in one or all industries: Aerospace, Industrial or Sporting Goods
  • Proven Sales Record
  • Technical or Engineering Background
  • Proactive communicator and collaborator
  • Strong knowledge of L&L business model, culture and technologies
  • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing, along with strong presentation skills
  • Ability to maintain and develop new relationships; negotiating skills; ability to influence customer decisions
  • Strong organizational skills; attention to detail; financial management
  • Ability to problem solve
  • Ability to travel

Responsibilities

  • Identify markets where L&L technologies could offer a compelling value proposition that can solve problems in a highly differentiated and valuable way
  • Develop specific RWW statements
  • Work with regional management to gain buy-in for the market exploration
  • Perform market evaluation of the target market and either validate the VP and RWW via repeat production POs or recommend stopping pursuit of the market
  • Lead initial evaluation and validation of technologies to key customer specifications
  • Transition successful RWW to permanent account managers
  • Collaborate regionally and globally to develop product and sales strategy and tactics
  • Develop and present value proposition to potential customers
  • Maintain effective internal communication
  • Interface with R&D and PD to test and validate initial prototypes to technical requirements for supporting early RWW assessments
  • Lead quote efforts, including establishing all inputs required to effectively develop costs and establish pricing, as well as delivering and presenting quotes
  • Obtain customer commitments (purchase orders)
  • Perform contract reviews and resolve issues
  • Participate in and/or coordinate with Program Managers as appropriate for gate reviews
  • Lead collections and A/R issue resolution at assigned customers
  • Participate in developing our product strategy by identifying customer needs and by gathering and communicating competitive knowledge
  • Actively participate in process improvement by participating in department and program meetings
