About The Position

Are you ready to make a significant impact by supporting critical national security infrastructure? T-Rex Solutions is looking for a fully cleared Senior Software Engineer 4 to join our dynamic team in the Ft. Meade, MD area. The Software Engineer will work with a team of other principal and senior-level contributors to provide development and production support for the AdmitIT product in support of the Zero Trust architecture. The Software Engineer will be responsible for building, managing, and automating configurable AdmitIT/ICAM product installations for DoD customers. The Software Engineer develops, maintains, and enhances complex and diverse software systems (e.g., processing-intensive analytics, novel algorithm development, manipulation of extremely large data sets, real time systems, and business management information systems) based upon documented requirements. Works individually or as part of a team. Reviews and tests software components for adherence to the design requirements and documents test results. Resolves software problem reports. Utilizes software development and software design methodologies appropriate to the development environment. Provides specific input to the software components of system design to include hardware/software trade-offs, software reuse, use of Commercial Off-the shelf (COTS)/Government Off-the-shelf (GOTS) in place of new development, and requirements analysis and synthesis from system level to individual software components.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or higher in computer engineering or in a field related to computer engineering or computer science disciplines and 12 years of Software Engineering experience. An additional 4 years of Software Engineering experience may be substituted for the degree for a total of 16 years
  • 5 years of work experience in the SIGINT, IA, or IT domains
  • Active TS/SCI w/ FSP

Nice To Haves

  • Ability to solve complex system/integration problems
  • Strong technical acumen and troubleshooting skills
  • Experience with PKI
  • Understanding of scalability and high-availability strategies with deployments across multiple service centers (e.g., availability zones)
  • Experience with SW development methodologies
  • Knowledge of application and security testing, vulnerability management and tracking
  • Understanding of Risk Management Framework (RMF)
  • Demonstrated engineering experience on programs with requirements, functional analysis, and allocation, conducting system requirement reviews, developing CONOPS and system architectures
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience in working with Software Development, Test Engineers, and System Administration teams to establish capabilities that meet requirements
  • Ability to facilitate meetings and brief technical concepts to technical and non-technical personnel
  • Experience with developing program review materials
  • Must be able to work in a collaborative environment.
  • Must be able to work with minimum supervision and be customer focused
