About The Position

Join the Wireless Division at Two Six Technologies, where we push the boundaries of software-defined radio and digital signal processing to develop innovative solutions for complex wireless and embedded systems. We are seeking a Senior Software Defined Radio (SDR) Engineer to design and implement advanced hardware and software for mission-critical R&D programs in Herndon, Virginia. As part of our interdisciplinary team of RF engineers, embedded developers, and security researchers, you'll architect, develop, and prototype cutting-edge SDR systems-applying your expertise in RF design, protocol analysis, and DSP to deliver impactful solutions that advance national security.

Requirements

  • A bachelor's degree in Computer or Electrical Engineering.
  • Minimum 5 years of Digital Signal Processing (DSP) and Software Defined Radios (SDR) development experience.
  • Experience in SIGINT or communications systems development and test.
  • Demonstrated ability to architect and implement digital processing and SDR system solutions with real-world performance requirements.
  • Active Top Secret Clearance is required with the ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI security clearance.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Linux-based DSP systems that span across CPUs, FPGAs, GPUs, and SDR platforms
  • Experience with CUDA and GPU HW acceleration for DSP applications.
  • Active TS/SCI clearance

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement bespoke SDR solutions using COTS hardware and software with C/C++, GNU Radio, or Python in a Linux environment
  • Detect, identify, and decode captured RF waveforms.
  • Perform RF signal reception and transmission using various modulation schemes, including FSK, PSK, and QAM.
  • Solve technical challenges in communications, signal collection, data processing, and electronic warfare domains.
  • Design and execute experiments and prototypes in well-equipped laboratory facilities featuring SDR hardware, FPGA development systems, and RF signal test and measurement equipment.
  • Provide subject matter expertise in Digital Signal Processing (DSP) and SDR development.
  • Lead a small team of engineers in a rapid prototyping environment.
