About The Position

As our Senior Social Media Manager, you will lead and scale Fora’s social media strategy across all platforms, setting a vision that establishes us as a leading voice in the travel space. Reporting to the VP of Brand & Content, you’ll shape how Fora shows up in the culture, to travelers and travel entrepreneurs alike. In traveler-facing channels, you'll build and deliver a strategy to inspire wanderlust, highlight our expertise, and position Fora as the smarter way to travel. And on the advisor side, you'll support Fora's growing community of current and aspiring travel advisors, showcasing how we power this generation of travel entrepreneurs.

Requirements

  • 5-10+ years leading social media or brand marketing for a consumer-facing brand or publisher; experience in travel or lifestyle strongly preferred
  • Experience managing internal team members and external freelancers, agencies, or creators, with a track record of managing, mentoring, and motivating team members to produce high-quality content and meet core business goals.
  • Proven success growing standout brand presence and engagement across major social platforms
  • Deep understanding of internet culture, creator communities, and what makes content resonate; you know how to spot and act on trends quickly while maintaining brand integrity
  • Strong editorial and storytelling instincts, with a history of translating brand goals into culturally relevant campaigns
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Highly collaborative; you excel at building cross-functional relationships
  • Equally comfortable setting big-picture strategy and hopping into CapCut or rewriting a caption
  • Proficient with social analytics tools and able to set, track, and report KPIs that drive strategy
  • Curious about and excited to explore how emerging AI can support content and creative functions

Responsibilities

  • Develop, execute, and iterate organic social media strategy across all our platforms to drive brand awareness, engagement, and audience growth.
  • Evolve strategy for a new advisor-facing account (@foracommunity on TikTok and Instagram), alongside our main traveler-facing @foratravel handles.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally both within the marketing team (editorial, production, product marketing, paid acquisition) and with other teams (PR/comms, advisor experience, partnerships, etc.) to ensure our social media strategy is integrated into larger initiatives and serving overall business goals.
  • Build out our new influencer marketing program; develop and manage influencer/creator partnerships, including contract negotiation, budgets, and performance tracking.
  • Oversee social media support for our advisor community, including training and asset creation.
  • Plan and execute social promotion and content capture before, during, and after events (conferences, launches, IRL activations).
  • Hire and manage a new social media associate; manage our long-term external agency as well as freelancers (designers, photographers, videographers, etc).
  • Build and manage social calendars and content pillars; concept, brief, and oversee creation of high-impact content.
  • Set clear and measurable KPIs and report on performance; use data insights to inform strategy and optimize campaigns
  • Responsibly use AI to support your workflow while keeping human creativity at the forefront
