About The Position

The Senior Shipping Associate - Exceptions is responsible for processing global customer orders, ensuring final steps for accurate delivery is complete and all orders are provided to the carriers for same day shipping. This role specializes in identifying, troubleshooting, and resolving order exceptions and system errors. This is an essential onsite role, which requires regular onsite attendance.

Requirements

  • Able to think critically and come to a resolution leveraging systems|tools and working across business units
  • Able to solve problems quickly and efficiently; collaborate with peers and leaders as needed to resolve issues
  • Highschool diploma or GED required
  • 1-2 years of experience in Shipping
  • Read, write, and communicate in English
  • Basic computer navigation and typing skills
  • Ability to actively participate as a team member in order to meet departmental goals
  • Demonstrated ability to multi-task as well as the ability to change focus quickly based on requests by employees/management
  • Able to solve problems quickly and efficiently

  • Adapt to changes in software and processes quickly and accurately

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot and handle errors on all orders that do not auto post or that need invoices or additional steps to be completed
  • Well-versed in carrier specific software programs such as: Fed Ex Ship Manager, UPS WorldShip, DHL EasyShip, and show a demonstrated ability to process orders correctly
  • Read order notes and make the best determination of the next step in processing the order
  • Serve as a courteous and effective liaison between Sales, Customer Service, Logistics, Accounts Receivable, and PDC in meeting customer requirements
  • Manually enter dimensions, weights, and posting of orders that do not fit on the belt system (large and oversized/non-conveyable products) or items that ship out palletized.
  • Complete re-palletization, wrapping, and/or banding of product when necessary
  • Ensure truck logs are completed, upload necessary shipping documents, and collaborate with other departments for possible corrections
  • Perform carrier support by keeping the shipping cages clear including remove boxes to place on pallets and emptying the shipping cages to avoid belt congestion; move cages to applicable carrier
  • Operate pallet jacks, pallet jack scale, PIV/forklift, stand on pallet jack, part mover, and pallet wrapping machine
