Washington Metro Oasis (WMO) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to enriching the lives of older adults through lifelong learning, meaningful volunteer opportunities, and social engagement. Operating as a core element of the Community Health and Wellness division, our mission is to foster personal growth, build community, and promote active, engaged aging for older adults in the Washington, DC metro area. The Director of Washington Metro Oasis is a dynamic and passionate leader who inspires staff, volunteers, and community stakeholders in creating a vibrant, inclusive environment for older adults to thrive. This individual will be responsible for the overall growth, sustainability, and strategic planning of the organization, ensuring that WMO continues to flourish in its mission to support healthy aging in alignment with Johns Hopkins Medicine's, National Capital Region health priorities. Key responsibilities include overseeing the management and strategic integration of WMO within the National Capital Region (NCR), leading fundraising initiatives, cultivating sponsorships, and securing other sources of funding and philanthropy. Additionally, the Director will forge strong relationships with community partners and supporters to enhance WMO's reach and measurable impact for health aging and wellbeing.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Arts or science degree in business administration, nonprofit management, healthcare management, human relations or a related field from an accredited four-year college, master's degree preferred
• Minimum of five (5) years of experience in a relevant field, with a proven record of accomplishment of developing partnerships, successfully fostering and enhancing relationships within the aging services sectors.
• Proven expertise in fundraising, including experience in securing and managing donations, grants, and other sources of funding.
• Strong skills in strategic planning, operational management, program development, and community engagement to support the mission and goals of the organization.
