About The Position

The Sr. Service Technician is responsible for maintaining and repairing of carwash equipment, modifies or updates equipment as required and accurately documents such tasks. Recommend changes in systems, programs, and equipment to improve reliability, increase capability, and/or reduce customer costs. Continued focus on market development and strategy. This position performs duties with minimal to no supervision. Roles & Responsibilities: Interfaces with customers and related company personnel to ensure effective communication and dissemination of information required in establishing superior customer service Provides training and support to lower-level field service technicians Performs periodic scheduled and preventive maintenance on equipment as assigned by Dispatch Responsible for accurately troubleshooting chemical, mechanical, electrical, and electronic equipment, PLC controllers and power supplies. Performs diagnostic analysis. Provide on-site technical training for customers pertaining to use, operations and maintenance Prepares detailed service and failure records and recommends changes to customers on a regular basis to improve customer revenue and reduce total customer costs Performs repairs and corrects malfunctions as necessary Develop and execute strategies for market development and growth. Establish and maintain strong customer relationships through effective communication and problem solving. Collaborates with both sales and chemicals departments on customer expansion. May work with processes that are unique or peculiar to customer needs Involved in the problem-solving process regarding customer complaints Coordinates and keeps abreast of new developments and innovations leading to improved departmental and company performance Accurately perceives information from others. Assures appropriate flow of information and reports matters clearly, concisely, and accurately. Other duties as assigned. Job Requirements: Education & Experience 5-7 years relevant field experience Requires technical knowledge and ability to develop improved methods for fulfilling responsibilities. Functional/Technical Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Proficient in MS Office products (Excel, Word, MS Outlook, MS PowerPoint) Ability to read and understand electrical diagrams Understanding of OLC controllers, low voltage control circuits and three-phase power Business acumen including ability to interpret data and identify trends to impact positive business outcomes Ability to resolve conflict in a professional manner Must exhibit attention to detail as well as excellent listening, verbal and written communication skills Must be able to work with a diverse variety of people from different cultures and backgrounds Physical Requirements: Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 lbs. Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, stoop, crouch, climb and use hands to grip regularly. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Prolonged periods of sitting.
