About The Position

The Senior ServiceNow Developer at Delta Air Lines is responsible for the development, maintenance, enhancement, and support of the ServiceNow platform. This role involves hands-on development, code reviews, leading upgrade remediation, and collaborating with various teams to deliver high-quality product enhancements and defect fixes. The developer will also mentor team members and ensure compliance with Delta's policies and best practices.

Requirements

  • 5 or more years of experience in ServiceNow Platform development.
  • 3 or more years of experience in ITSM and ITOM development.
  • 3 or more years of experience in Agile development practices.
  • Ability to script complex scenarios during interactive sessions.
  • Demonstrable experience creating and maintaining ServiceNow Logic, Scripts, and Integrations.
  • Effectively communicate with management, internal staff, and customers.
  • Ability to work independently to achieve exceptional results.
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver quality work on time and translate planning into action.
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize work on multiple efforts for timely delivery.
  • Consistently prioritizes safety and security of self, others, and personal data.
  • Embraces diverse people, thinking, and styles.
  • Possesses a high school diploma, GED, or high school equivalency.
  • Is at least 18 years of age and has authorization to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

  • Complete hands-on development within the ServiceNow platform including client scripts, business rules, and workflows.
  • Perform code review of peer development changes to ensure compliance with Delta ServiceNow Development standards.
  • Lead upgrade/patch skip remediation ensuring compliance with standards and best practices.
  • Work with the Business/Product Team to provide estimated level of effort for projects.
  • Take ownership of high-level/complex business requirements and work them to completion.
  • Understand business user stories to provide technical design and solutions for enhancements.
  • Deliver product enhancements, new features, and defect fixes on time and error-free.
  • Collaborate with teams and stakeholders to efficiently deliver high-quality work.
  • Provide updated documentation of all product work including design and technical operations documentation.
  • Support existing and build new interfaces with a good understanding of integrations with 3rd party tools.
  • Ensure all work adheres to processes, policies, and best practices for development.
  • Maintain updated knowledge of product capabilities to minimize customization.
  • Assist team members with support issues.
  • Participate in daily standups to report status, delays, and risks.
  • Work with team members and vendors in support of application performance tuning and troubleshooting.
  • Ensure system compliance with Delta's policies including HIPAA, SOX, and PCI.
  • Mentor team members and provide technical guidance as needed.
  • Practice safety-conscious behaviors in all processes.
