Summary: This position is responsible for monitoring, controlling server and/or data center operations to ensure alignment with department and organizational objectives. This includes activities related to server, network, and facility configuration, user requirements, user incidents and user requests. This includes the maintenance of data closets throughout the Healthcare System.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent (Required)
  • Minimum 2 years of relevant experience.
  • Experience with Microsoft administration of Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policies.
  • Must have knowledge of enterprise systems including Windows Patch Management.
  • Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.

Nice To Haves

  • Information Technology Certification - Professional Association (PROFESSIONAL ASSOC)
  • MTA or CCENT certification preferred

Responsibilities

  • Completes all backups and restores as scheduled, providing troubleshooting and resolution of incidents and performing all restores requested of users with proper approval.
  • Monitors and controls systems and server, voice, network, and facility infrastructure in a client / server environment by supporting capacity analysis and planning efforts.
  • Defines requirements, develops test plans, and works with cross-functional teams to achieve daily operational accuracy and efficiency.
  • Ensures preventative maintenance is coordinated and performed in a timely manner to ensure reliability of systems utilized.
  • Supports the selection and determination of equipment and software and maintains operating records, inventory, and operational run books.
  • May provide support for routine server, network, voice and other infrastructure device firmware, software updates as well as backup to ensure servers are maintained and up to date.
  • Applies technical knowledge to support the design of workflows that provide seamless integration for client / server environment.
  • Assists with the maintenance of run books based on events and customer inquiries reported.
  • Performs installation and cabling, and assists with configuration of infrastructure equipment according to business needs.
  • Communicates with system users to identify, explain, and resolve problems, acting as second-level support for client support staff.
  • Participates in routine security audits to assess performance and identify gaps that may lead to potential outages.
