Nightwing is seeking a Senior Security Administrator who will play a critical role in protecting mission-critical systems and sensitive information. This position is designed for an experienced security professional who thrives in high-visibility environments, operates with minimal oversight, and brings deep technical expertise to enterprise security challenges. Candidates must have an active TS/SCI with CI Poly clearance Location: Annapolis Junction, Maryland

Requirements

  • 10+ years of hands-on experience performing duties aligned with this role (or an approved qualifying substitution)
  • Current TS/SCI CI Poly Clearance
  • IAT Level II certification compliance (required).
  • Proven ability to lead security efforts in complex, regulated environments.
  • Strong knowledge of federal cybersecurity standards, risk management frameworks, and enterprise security architectures.
  • The confidence and expertise to work independently while contributing to a collaborative security team.
  • Active and transferable Active U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date.
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the design, implementation, management, and continuous improvement of enterprise-wide security systems and protocols.
  • Safeguard the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of information systems in alignment with federal regulations, agency policies, and industry best practices.
  • Provide expert-level guidance on security policy development, system hardening, vulnerability management, and incident response.
  • Operate independently on mission-critical and high-visibility initiatives, ensuring security objectives are met without compromising performance.
  • Serve as a technical leader by mentoring and overseeing junior staff and coordinating the efforts of personnel assigned to specific security initiatives.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to stakeholders, translating complex security requirements into actionable solutions.
