About The Position

Position Summary: Entegris is seeking a Senior Scientist to join its Analytical Services team in Chaska/Bloomington, MN. This role will be responsible for leading testing, maintenance, method development, and optimization on our suite of Thermal Desorption Gas Chromatography Mass Spectrometry (TD-GCMS) instrumentation and serve as a subject matter expert. The ideal candidate will be results orientated with good communication skills. Responsibilities: Support laboratory operations including performing sample prep and analysis following established SOP’s and safety protocols. Operate, calibrate, and maintain analytical instrumentation specifically GCMS, but potentially to include ICPMS, IC, etc. Analyze data and communicate results effectively. Perform method development, validation, and design of experiments for R&D projects. Drive for continuous improvement of existing testing methods and procedures. Requirements

• MS with 3 years relevant industry experience or PhD with relevant experience in analytical chemistry related field or equivalent work experience to demonstrate competency.
• Considerable knowledge and understanding of GCMS systems and operations, Perkin Elmer experience ideal.
• Detail orientated with strong technical communication skills.
• Ability to work adhering to deadlines; multitasking and prioritizing as needed.
• Self-motivated and independent problem solver.
• A team player.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with other analytical instrumentation including IC, ICP, LPC and polymers is a plus.
• Familiarity with Labware LIMS.
