About The Position

Con Edison is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sr. Scientist to support our Waste and Chemicals group with expertise in Polychlorinated Biphenyls (PCBs) and Emerging Contaminants (PFAS, 1,4-dioxane, etc.) related to state and federal regulations. This role provides technical and regulatory leadership across the company, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local environmental regulations. The Sr. Scientist will oversee the development and implementation of corporate procedures, general instructions, and environmental specifications related to Waste and Chemicals with focus on PCBs and emerging contaminants. The Sr. Scientist will be responsible for regulatory reporting, internal and external liaison, providing expert guidance to company personnel, driving strategic initiatives to reduce liability and regulatory risks by leading cross-functional teams to improve business processes and environmental performance. This position does not provide employment pursuant to the terms of a STEM OPT Training Plan.
