About The Position

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Senior Scheduling Manager to join our team supporting our Federal client in the Washington DC area! In this role you will provide onsite support at the client office and ultimately lead a team of construction schedulers at multiple construction sites .

Requirements

  • 12+ years of experience directing and overseeing schedulers in support of multi-$M Federal client construction programs
  • BS Degree in Engineering, Construction Management or related field
  • Developed expertise utilizing Primavera P6 and its earlier versions including its report generation capabilities
  • Highly experienced in preparing or analyzing Time-Impact-Analysis (TIA) as it relates to time extension requests or claims
  • Direct experience developing and managing IMS for Federal construction programs, including experience with technical program management
  • US Citizenship required

Nice To Haves

  • Broad knowledge and experience executing construction project scheduling for Federal facilities and related infrastructure including: barracks, classroom/training facilities, marine docks, ship repair dry dock facilities, administrative buildings
  • Certification as a PMP with the Project Management Institute (PMI) or CCM with the Construction Management Association of American (CMAA)
  • Registration from the Association for the Advancement of Cost Engineering (AACE) as a Planning and Scheduling Professional (PSP)
  • Developed soft skills working as part of a team with Federal clients
  • Excellent writing and oral communication skills.
  • Proven ability for performing in a lead capacity on a project.

Responsibilities

  • Act as a Company representative with the client during the program execution.
  • Assist client to determine specific scheduling support requirements to execute expanding construction program including:
  • build and maintain a program-level Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) which includes major milestones and deliverables from construction contractor project schedules
  • perform program schedule analysis to include: Metrics, Critical Path, Float, and schedule variances
  • monitor vendor schedule performance to include weekly and monthly variances.
  • utilize Gantt, PERT, milestone charts, earned value management and other project management techniques to gauge progress and identify performance variances.
  • act as scheduling subject expert and mentor the program scheduling staff
  • propose processes that will aid Integrated Scheduling.
  • Mobilize company resources, through liaison with construction management resources in other offices, new hires or specialty subcontractors to create project teams capable of completing effective, quality work
