About The Position

Paragon Professional Services, LCC, a company within the BSNC family is currently seeking a qualified project Scheduler for the US Army Corps of Engineers' (USACE) Omaha District's Construction Management Services contract supporting multiple projects within the Omaha District's geographical boundaries.  The candidate will be responsible for providing timely scheduling oversite, analysis, and reports on a variety of military and civil works construction contracts, including biweekly/monthly reviews of contractor submitted schedules in P6. Requirements

  • Senior Scheduler must have at least ten (10) years of experience meeting the position description above and demonstrate experience with at least one of the listed specialized skills or codes under the position description.
  • Experience using Primavera P6 creating and analyzing schedules for construction of new and large vertical or horizontal construction projects, or renovation of significant commercial, medical, or industrial facilities.
  • Creating and analyzing Critical Path Method (CPM) Baseline schedules with Primavera P6 (or more current version); Primavera P6 Critical Path Method (CPM)
  • Monitoring program milestones and recognizing interdependencies between subprojects, identifying the critical path and suggesting alternatives
  • Analyzing contractor schedules for logic flaws and advising the Government on acceptability of schedule revisions
  • Experience preparing Time Impact Analysis for Requests for Equitable Adjustments (REAs) or Claims.
  • Prior experience scheduling at least one of the following in P6: large new vertical or horizontal construction, renovation of commercial/industrial, medical facility, pharmaceutical, or heavy-highway type of construction
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and in a team oriented, collaborative environment
  • Ability to pass background check
  • Must have two valid forms of Government issued identification

Nice To Haves

  • Proficient in MS Word and Excel
  • Experience with US Army Corps of Engineers Resident Management System (RMS)

Responsibilities

  • Provide timely scheduling oversite and services for multiple contracts. Perform bi-weekly/monthly review of contractor-submitted schedules in P6. Analyze schedule progression and document changes from the initial Baseline schedule and any future schedule revisions and report to the USACE Contracting Officer's Representative (COR).  Review Weekly contractor “3-week look-ahead” schedules and determine reasonableness.
  • Perform reviews of time impact analysis (TIAs) as provided by the contractor and report findings to the COR. Attend weekly conference call meetings.  Advise COR on any potential schedule changes, delays, or impacts, or contractor-submitted schedule deficiencies.  Review contractors pay applications for completeness and accuracy and provide comments to COR. Prepare project status reports related to the schedule
  • Provide reports and analyses that include the type of information shown. When required by the COR, completed reports  and documents shall be entered into USACE's construction management software, Resident Management System (RMS).  Specific report information or requirements for individual projects will be identified by the COR on each project.
  • Participate in project coordination meetings with the COR when scheduled.  Collaborate with the USACE and Contractor's scheduling staff to resolve disagreements involving project schedules.  Propose alternatives and solutions to schedule problems to USACE leadership and team members.
