About The Position

LTS is seeking a highly skilled Senior Salesforce Developer to architect and deliver advanced Salesforce solutions — including emerging AI and Agentforce capabilities — in support of mission-critical initiatives for the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA). In this role, you will serve as a technical leader and solution architect, driving scalable, secure, and high-performance implementations across the Salesforce ecosystem. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams to modernize systems that directly support services for our nation’s Veterans. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field
  • 5+ years of hands-on Salesforce development experience in enterprise environments
  • Deep expertise with Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), SOQL/SOSL, and Salesforce APIs
  • Experience leading Salesforce integrations with external systems
  • Strong JavaScript skills; experience with Python or other backend technologies is a plus
  • Proven ability to translate complex business requirements into scalable technical solutions
  • Experience working in Agile development environments
  • Salesforce Platform Developer II certification (required)
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to diagnose complex technical issues
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
  • Demonstrated experience in a senior or lead developer role
  • Passion for building solutions that improve processes and user experiences
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
  • Ability to obtain a Public Trust

Nice To Haves

  • Additional certifications such as Application Architect, System Architect, or AI-related Salesforce credentials
  • Experience supporting federal or healthcare IT programs
  • Familiarity with secure, compliant cloud environments (FedRAMP, FISMA, HIPAA, etc.)
  • Exposure to Salesforce AI, Einstein, or Agentforce capabilities
  • Experience with DevOps tools such as Copado, Gearset, or Azure DevOps

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement complex Salesforce solutions using Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), Visualforce, and Salesforce APIs
  • Develop and deploy AI-enabled and Agentforce solutions to enhance automation, service delivery, and decision support
  • Translate business and clinical operational requirements into scalable technical designs
  • Serve as a technical lead across Salesforce initiatives, setting architecture direction and development standards
  • Mentor junior developers and conduct code reviews to ensure high-quality, maintainable solutions
  • Provide technical leadership in Agile ceremonies and solution planning sessions
  • Lead integrations between Salesforce and enterprise systems using REST/SOAP APIs, middleware, and secure data exchange patterns
  • Optimize system performance, ensure data integrity, and troubleshoot complex platform issues
  • Promote DevOps best practices including version control, CI/CD, and automated testing
  • Partner with product owners, analysts, and VA stakeholders to deliver solutions aligned with mission outcomes
  • Stay current with Salesforce releases, AI capabilities, and federal technology trends to continuously improve platform capabilities
