Job Summary We are seeking a Senior Salesforce Business Analyst to lead business process discovery, requirements definition, documentation, and delivery support for Salesforce enhancements and strategic initiatives. This role is designed for a high-performing analyst with strong Salesforce functional knowledge and the ability to produce clear, structured documentation that drives consistent execution across internal teams and consultant partners. The Senior Salesforce Business Analyst will serve as a key connector between business stakeholders and delivery teams by translating business needs into actionable user stories, acceptance criteria, process flows, and UAT plans. This position requires strong analytical skills, excellent communication, and the discipline to drive work from intake through release readiness and adoption, without owning platform architecture or enterprise technical design decisions. Requirements

  • 7+ years of Business Analyst experience, including 3+ years supporting Salesforce in a complex business environment.
  • Proven expertise in producing high-quality analysis and delivery artifacts
  • Strong Salesforce functional knowledge
  • Experience operating in Agile/Scrum delivery environments and participating in sprint ceremonies (refinement, planning, demos, retrospectives).
  • Strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to lead discovery discussions, drive clarity, and reduce ambiguity across teams.
  • Experience working with external consulting/implementation partners, including validating deliverables and coordinating discovery, UAT, and feedback cycles.
  • Strong documentation and process design skills, including proficiency with Lucidchart (or similar tools)
  • Familiarity with structured intake and governance practices (scoping, prioritization, change control).
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to translate between business and technical teams with confidence and precision.
  • Salesforce certifications such as Salesforce Business Analyst or Salesforce Administrator.
  • Experience supporting high-volume operations (Sales, Service, Contact Center, or field service workflows).
  • Experience working in environments with compliance or audit controls (documentation standards, approval workflows, traceability).

Nice To Haves

  • Salesforce certifications preferred (Business Analyst, Administrator/Advanced Admin, Sales Cloud and/or Service Cloud Consultant)
  • Hands-on experience delivering Sales Cloud and/or Service Cloud solutions in complex enterprise environments
  • Experience with B2C models and high-volume lead management (property/household account patterns, lead-to-appointment workflows)
  • Omnichannel/contact center experience (case management, routing, SLAs, CTI), ideally with RingCentral/InContact exposure
  • Experience partnering closely with technical teams to define requirements for integration, reporting, and data quality, and to support end-to-end testing and deployment readiness
  • Strong UAT and Agile delivery experience (user stories with acceptance criteria, testing coordination, defect triage; Jira/Confluence or similar tools)

Responsibilities

  • Lead discovery through structured workshops, stakeholder interviews, and process walk-throughs to capture business goals, pain points, and success criteria.
  • Develop and document current-state and future-state process maps using Lucidchart, ensuring clarity across business and technical teams.
  • Translate business needs into clear, testable delivery artifacts, including: User stories and epics Acceptance criteria Business rules and exception handling End-to-end workflow definitions
  • Drive alignment on scope and priority, ensuring requests are well-defined before work begins.
  • Own the creation and upkeep of high-quality documentation, including: Business Design Documents (BDDs) outlining business intent, workflows, rules, and required outcomes Requirements traceability and decision logs as needed to prevent rework UAT plans, test scripts, and release readiness checklists
  • Support the creation of Technical Design Documents (TDDs) by partnering with Salesforce Admins/Architects to ensure intended behavior, dependencies, and operational impacts are documented clearly.
  • Partner closely with Salesforce Architects and Administrators to ensure solutions align with requirements by: Clarifying intent and resolving requirement questions quickly Validating process behavior and edge cases Supporting story refinement to ensure work is actionable and testable
  • Provide functional support across Salesforce capabilities such as: Data model impacts (objects/fields/relationships) Automation outcomes (Flows and process enforcement) Security and visibility needs (functional expectations and business access requirements) Reports and dashboards (ensuring outputs align with KPI needs)
  • Support ongoing backlog refinement by ensuring stories meet a consistent “definition of ready” standard.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, reviews/demos, retrospectives, and release readiness checkpoints.
  • Proactively identify risks, scope gaps, or missing requirements early to reduce delivery churn and prevent late-stage surprises.
  • Plan and lead UAT efforts, including test scenario creation, execution coordination, and defect triage.
  • Ensure bugs, gaps, and change requests are documented clearly with reproduction steps, expected behavior, and business impact.
  • Support deployment readiness by developing and coordinating: Release notes User job aids and training documentation Stakeholder communications to drive adoption
  • Act as a primary partner for external Salesforce consultants by: Coordinating discovery and requirement clarification cycles Reviewing deliverables for completeness and alignment to business expectations Driving progress on open questions, decisions, and action items
  • Help ensure consultant work products reduce rework and accelerate delivery outcomes.
  • Gather reporting needs and define measurable KPI requirements tied to operational outcomes.
  • Validate report and dashboard results against business expectations for accuracy and usability.
  • Identify recurring process breakdowns or data quality issues and recommend improvements to reduce downstream impact.
  • Support post-go-live optimization efforts by capturing feedback, monitoring adoption issues, and maintaining a prioritized enhancement backlog.
