About The Position

MarketStar is looking for a Senior Sales Trainer to support our X team. The Senior Sales Trainer will report directly to the Program Director, using MarketStar and industry-leading training methods, processes, and standards. They will be responsible for designing, developing, and delivering an advanced sales training curriculum to internal sales teams. The qualifying candidate will be responsible for the entire sales training curriculum – including developing courses, scheduling classes, communicating with participants and stakeholders, assessing the outcomes (impact) of the training, and reporting results to stakeholders. They will work in partnership with sales team managers to ensure training is impactful in meeting business needs, and will identify training needs and best practices with the end of sharing/collaborating with the team to improve training methods, processes, and standards.

Requirements

  • Ads and media sales experience required.
  • Experience delivering training to sales teams in a professional environment.
  • Deep understanding of online marketing strategies and the broader digital advertising ecosystem, including industry-wide trends and performance metrics.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent analytical abilities and organizational skills, driven by results and business impacts.
  • Self-starter, quick learner, and the ability to work autonomously with minimal direction.
  • Passionate about delivering excellence and superior service to the business.

Nice To Haves

  • Computer technology experience a plus – particularly as it relates to e-learning and training within a virtual environment.
  • Graphical design experience a plus - specifically the ability to create visually appealing graphics that communicate complex ideas in an understandable format.

Responsibilities

  • Become an authority on MarketStar’s and the digital advertising industry's sales motions and unique methods of influencing sales in B2B, retail, and direct sales ecosystems.
  • Develop, deliver, and manage a senior-level sales training curriculum.
  • Develop sales certifications and advanced certification tracks within the curriculum.
  • Maintain a robust calendar of sales training initiatives.
  • Develop behavioral and performance objectives for given training interventions and report on attainment of objectives to stakeholders.
  • Work with the Program Director, managers, and team leads to monitor and assess training impact on team performance with the end of better aligning training content and methods to improve performance.
  • Other applicable duties as assigned.
