About The Position

The Sr. Sales Support Coordinator provides advanced sales and operational support to the Walmart team, with a specialization in Walmart US, Walmart Canada, Sam’s Club, and Walmart.com. Acting as a critical liaison between Sales, Planning, Operations, Marketing, and Customer Service, this role ensures seamless backend execution for one of our largest retail partners while upholding the high standards of the Sales Support function. Reporting to the Director of Sales Operations and Customer Service, the Coordinator is deeply embedded in Walmart-specific tools and processes, including Retail Link and order pattern analysis. This role is responsible for handling complex customer needs, ensuring accuracy and compliance in account execution, and partnering cross-functionally to drive sales growth and program success. Success in this role requires operational expertise, attention to detail, and a proactive mindset. The Coordinator will play a key role in resolving issues, optimizing performance, and identifying growth opportunities, setting the stage for account expansion and career development within a dynamic retail ecosystem.

Requirements

  • 5-7 years of experience in Sales Operations, Account Management, or Retail Operations (Walmart experience strongly preferred).
  • Proficiency in Retail Link platform preferred.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
  • Naturally curious and proactive, with a strong desire to understand the “why”.
  • Experience with cross-functional project management and stakeholder alignment.
  • Advanced Excel/Power BI skills; familiarity with ERP/CRM systems preferred, Microsoft Dynamics 365 a plus.
  • Ability to work seamlessly and collaboratively across multiple internal departments (Marketing, Product Development, Operations, Finance, IT and Sales).
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-visibility role managing the world’s largest retailer.

Responsibilities

  • Document and standardize best practices to improve collaboration and execution across internal teams.
  • Act as the main sales support contact for assigned key accounts, including Walmart, Sam’s Club, eCommerce, and other large retailers.
  • Maintain and support customer backend operations such as product information entry, vendor updates, contracts, compliance documents, and item setup.
  • Review dealer documentation to ensure timely and complete onboarding of new customers and products.
  • Monitor Walmart and other key account order flow; assist in tracking shortages, late deliveries, pricing discrepancies, and deductions, escalating issues to appropriate teams as needed.
  • Support chargeback and compliance processes by documenting, tracking, and escalating Walmart deductions and compliance issues.
  • Assist with Walmart-specific reporting by understanding Scintilla data and preparing insights in collaboration with Sales and Planning.
  • Coordinate and support new product launches and promotions by following established checklists and ensuring accurate, compliant execution.
  • Oversee published price changes, ensuring accuracy and maintaining records of customer terms and pricing.
  • Generate and manage custom reporting packages, sales reports, and YTD tracking to support the Sales team and identify revenue opportunities.
  • Conduct monthly and quarterly account/site reviews for Walmart and other key accounts.
  • Provide sales teams with materials, product samples, catalogs, vendor setup forms, and price lists as needed.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Product Development, Marketing, Graphics, Forecasting, Logistics, and Pricing) to ensure alignment and timely execution of account deliverables.
  • Train new sales support personnel in departmental systems, processes, and best practices.
  • Troubleshoot sales-related issues by investigating root causes, resolving them with cross-functional teams, and recommending process improvements.
  • Continuously evaluate workflows and recommend improvements to enhance accuracy, efficiency, and compliance across accounts.
