You will report to the Manager, Project Management Meat NA The Opportunity The Sales Project Manager is part of the sales operations team and is responsible for sales projects from contract signature to handover to Service. Project Management refers to the process of project leading, directing, communicating, and controlling project work. This process aims to achieve project goals as defined in an agreed contract between Marel and customers, and Marel internal goals. Your role will involve close contact with JBT Marel customers where the Project Manager is being the primary customer and internal contact point regarding the project execution. You will report to the Manager, Project Management Meat NA Important elements of your role include: You will implement project as primary contact from kick-off meeting to project closure (handover to service) on behalf of industry management Create overall project plan with input from multiple Marel functions Keep partners updated on progress, status and deviations from plan You will translate customer needs into technical and commercial solutions, working with Industry Sales Managers, Account Managers, and global agents. Manage projects ranging from $200K to $8M – and occasionally up to $25M. Collaborate with innovation, layout, and installation teams to create tailor-made solutions – from a single machine to complete production lines or entire plants. Coordinate project team activities and distribute tasks to project team members. Develop compelling proposals that lead to successful deals. Monthly financial reporting of the projects including better/worse based on forecasts Provide feedback for root cause analyses of the line levels deviating from the pre-calculation including feedback to our organization for continuous improvement cycles.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's in engineering
  • IPMA or similar certification for Project Management
  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience in project management, preferably in the food industry
  • Knowledge of the business processes of companies in the food industry

Responsibilities
