We're building a significant, meaningful, and lasting business, and we are helping sellers worldwide do the same. The Role Square is looking for high-energy Senior Sales Development Representative.. You will be joining our Sales Development organization to build a sales pipeline for the Restaurant or Generalist team. You will engage with leads from Marketing programs that require thorough nurturing and outbounding in order to create Sales interest. As the first line of contact for these low-intent leads, you understand the diverse needs of our merchants. You will become an expert in the products and services that enables merchants to grow with the Square ecosystem. You will apply your sales experience to create value and urgency, and subsequently qualify these leads through strategic discovery and pass them to Account Executives. You will have a monthly quota of qualified opportunities created. Besides that, you will effectively manage your lead pipeline and assist in the onboarding of select sellers. You will be responsible for helping smaller sellers go live and will have a monthly quota of total number of sellers to activate. This position is the starting point to many growth opportunities within the Square team. We have designed our program to facilitate career growth in the Sales or Marketing direction of choice. Prior to being promoted into a new role, you have the ability to increase your on target earnings by leveling up within the organization.

Requirements

  • ~1 year of sales experience
  • A track record of strong KPI’s and results, as well as desire to grow in your Sales career
  • A BA/BS degree or equivalent practical experience which is ideally 2 years customer facing or sales experience in B2B or B2C technology
  • Familiarity with tools like Salesforce, Salesloft, Gong
  • Personal leadership, authenticity, team player, energy richness, curiosity
  • Strong sales acumen and confidence while conducting outbound sales strategies
  • Comfort with operating in a fast-paced, dynamic environment

Responsibilities

  • Quickly respond to marketing and product driven leads - these vary in intent and warmth, and require pre-research and outbound strategies
  • Qualify warm leads and run preliminary discovery calls with cold leads to set appointments for account executives
  • Manage your own pipeline of low revenue sellers that you will help onboard and activate to hit monthly quota of onboarded sellers
  • Showcase your experience with strong GTM Sales Motions, including account research, prospecting and cold outbound
  • Learn to sell and pitch Square’s value in a dynamic, innovative, fast-paced environment
  • Manage a pipeline of leads successfully by focusing on daily activities and sales tools to effectively convert leads to sales in a timely manner
  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of Square's ecosystem and keep abreast of upcoming product releases.
  • Provide clear insights from conversations with leads to improve the future effectiveness of outreach, and provide feedback to Marketing on lead gen campaigns
  • Present a great first impression of Square by giving excellent service, quick and timely engagement to all your assigned leads
