The Senior Commissions Analyst role is a subject matter expert responsible for intricate payout calculations, reconciliations, and root-cause analysis across diverse plans and segments. This position is crucial in establishing operating rigor within the new team, mentoring other analysts, and driving improvements in processes and automation to ensure accurate and timely payouts.
Requirements
- 5+ years in commissions, payroll operations, revenue operations, or similar
- Advanced Excel
- Experience with a commissions platform (Xactly/Varicent/Spiff/CaptivateIQ/Anaplan)
- Strong reconciliation, data quality, and documentation discipline
- Ability to manage deadlines and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners

Responsibilities
- Execute complex monthly/quarterly calculations, adjustments, clawbacks, and multi-measure crediting
- Lead end-to-end close activities: intake validation, exception handling, reconciliation, and payout approval packages
- Investigate data/crediting discrepancies; perform root-cause analysis and implement preventive controls
- Prepare audit evidence and support SOX control execution; maintain documentation and runbooks
- Partner with Systems Admin on UAT, release validation, and configuration fixes
- Mentor analysts, perform peer review, and standardize reconciliations and QC steps
- Recommend automation/standardization to reduce cycle time and errors
