The Senior Rolling Process Engineer will serve as a technical expert and enterprise-level innovation leader across Novelis’ worldwide flat-rolled aluminum operations. This role is based at the Novelis Global Research & Technology Center in Kennesaw, Georgia and reports to the Senior Manager, Process Innovation and Modeling, while working closely with plant leadership, regional technical leaders, and corporate stakeholders globally.
You will define, influence, and continuously improve how Novelis designs, operates, and advances rolling, heat-treat, and finishing processes supporting both existing plants and future capital investments. You will have direct exposure to senior technical and plant leadership across Novelis’ global network.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field
• 7+ years of hands-on flat rolled products manufacturing experience including rolling, heat-treat, and strip processing with demonstrated impact across multiple facilities or product lines
• Proven success solving production, quality, or yield-limiting issues in operating mills with measurable business outcomes
• Strong communication and multi-functional influence skills across plant, regional, and corporate collaborators, must be able to build trust
• Project management- define scope, align partners, manage risk, and deliver results

• Deep experience in aluminum flat-rolled products manufacturing
• Leadership in major process-improvement, innovation, or technology-deployment initiatives with enterprise or multi-site scope

Responsibilities

• Provide deep technical leadership across the aluminum rolling value chain, including ingot casting, continuous casting, hot and cold rolling, heat treatment, quenching, slitting, and strip handling to solve complex problems
• Own and drive high-impact innovation and process-improvement initiatives that deliver measurable improvements in safety, quality, throughput, cost, and sustainability performance
• Support major capital projects with process design expertise, specification development, and start-up support
• Standardize and scale best practices across regions, translating local plant success into globally adopted technical standards
• Travel (~20%) to Novelis sites worldwide to solve complex technical challenges, support implementation, and influence global technical direction
• Safety is foundational at Novelis. You will design and implement process improvements with safety engineered in from the start, ensuring new technologies and practices meet or exceed global safety standards
