About The Position

AST SpaceMobile is building the first and only global cellular broadband network in space to operate directly with standard, unmodified mobile devices based on our extensive IP and patent portfolio and designed for both commercial and government applications. Our engineers and space scientists are on a mission to eliminate the connectivity gaps faced by today’s five billion mobile subscribers and finally bring broadband to the billions who remain unconnected. Position Overview The Senior RF Solution Architect / GPL Lead is responsible for driving RF design governance and Global Parameter List (GPL) integrity for satellite‑RAN acceptance across gateways and markets. This role leads RF modeling, beam‑plan validation, link‑budget analysis, CIQ governance, coverage‑persistence optimization, and the definition and enforcement of RF acceptance thresholds—all ensuring compliance with performance KPIs and regional regulatory requirements. The position owns the creation and validation of RF design artifacts, triages interference issues, validates probe‑based RF telemetry, and publishes documentation that supports NOC playbooks and cross‑market acceptance readiness. This role is essential to maintaining RF design integrity and GPL governance for satellite‑RAN service acceptance at scale. The Senior RF Solution Architect / GPL Lead ensures that beam plans, link budgets, CIQs, persistence criteria, and other RF parameters are consistently defined, validated, and ready for acceptance across gateways, devices, and global regions. By owning RF models, probe‑driven validation, and interference triage, this role reduces rework, strengthens cross‑market acceptance consistency, and delivers NOC‑ready RF design artifacts that support reliable and scalable commercial deployment.
