New hybrid work opportunity for a Senior Revenue Accountant with the Bruker Finance and Accounting organization based in Billerica, MA. Primarily responsible for the Company’s revenue accounting function within the Billerica business services and revenue organization. The Senior Revenue Recognition Accountant performs month end close activities for US legal entities supported by the Billerica business services center. Evaluates customer agreements and documents the proper revenue accounting under ASC 606. Prepares analyses, journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations and other revenue related schedules as part of the month end close process all in accordance with US GAAP and Company policies. Prepares and reviews monthly SOX controls. Works closely and communicates effectively with business and corporate partners to ensure that information and support needs are consistently met. Understands the business and is responsive to the needs of operating business partners; implements improvements, as needed. Ensures implementation of and compliance with US GAAP revenue recognition matters Provides support for external and internal audit processes. Plays a leadership role in making the revenue accounting function more efficient and effective.. Perform other duties as required.

Requirements

  • Bachelor Degree in accounting or finance required.
  • Minimum 3 years recent revenue recognition work experience in a public company along with 3 years demonstrated general accounting work experience.
  • Technical revenue accounting knowledge of US GAAP and specifically ASC 606.
  • Experience with SAP or a similar financial accounting system.
  • Strong Excel, MS Office suite and Windows skills.
  • Current knowledge of US accounting and auditing regulations and accounting policies and practices.
  • Unquestioned integrity in the application of such standards.
  • Excellent organizational skills: resource management, workload prioritization and project management.
  • Highly adaptable and able to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining an emphasis on quality.
  • Excellent interpersonal, computer, communication (both written and verbal), and presentation skills.
  • Remains current with accounting standards and maintains an effective external industry and professional network.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a complex, global environment with ability to gain commitment and coordinated action for initiatives.
  • Ability to complete position compliance and training requirements.
  • Builds and maintains constructive working relationships across the company at all levels.
  • Operates with a high standard of ethics, integrity, and professionalism.
  • Valid Driver License in good standing, issued by resident state required, with reliable transportation.
  • U.S. Citizenship or U.S. Permanent Resident status required.
  • Maintain a valid passport with flexibility for domestic and international travel.
  • May be required to pass security clearance investigation.

Nice To Haves

  • CPA or equivalent training a plus.
  • Experience with BPC or a similar financial reporting tool (i.e. Hyperion, Cognos) desirable.

Benefits

  • At Bruker, the base salary is part of our total compensation.
  • The estimated base salary range for this full-time position is between $72,000 and $120,000 and provides an opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role.
  • The base salary for the role will depend on several job-related factors, including, but not limited to, education, training, experience, the geographic location of the successful candidate, skills, competencies, job-related knowledge, and travel requirements for this position.
