About The Position

Amplitude is looking for a Senior Revenue Accountant to join our growing Finance team and help keep our revenue engine clean, compliant, and scalable. This role sits at the intersection of accounting rigor and business partnership, working closely with Sales, Deal Desk, Legal, and FP&A. You’ll play a key role in revenue recognition under ASC 606 while supporting close, audits, and process improvements as we scale. This role reports to the Senior Manager of Revenue.

Requirements

  • You bring 3–5+ years of accounting experience, ideally with a mix of public accounting and SaaS or public company experience
  • You have a strong working knowledge of ASC 606 and hands-on experience with subscription-based revenue models
  • You’re comfortable working in systems like NetSuite and Salesforce, and don’t break into a cold sweat when contracts get complex
  • You’re detail-oriented but pragmatic, with the judgment to balance technical accuracy and business reality
  • We can count on you to communicate clearly and collaborate well with non-finance partners in a fast-moving environment

Responsibilities

  • Review customer contracts and determine appropriate revenue recognition treatment under ASC 606, including documenting nonstandard terms
  • Own key components of the monthly and quarterly close, including journal entries, reconciliations, and variance analysis
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to provide revenue insights and support deal structuring decisions
  • Support external audits and ensure revenue-related documentation and controls are buttoned up
  • Help scale and improve revenue systems, processes, and controls as the business grows
