Summary: In this role, you will apply complex accounting principles and revenue recognition standards to support accurate financial reporting and contract accounting processes. You will review custom contracts, manage ERP system data for billing and revenue processing, and collaborate with internal teams to ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal controls. You will analyze financial results, explain fluctuations and trends, and provide recommendations that support informed business decisions.

Requirements

Relevant degree preferred.
5 or more years of relevant experience required.
Strong knowledge of revenue recognition and contract accounting principles.
Experience working within an ERP system for billing and revenue processing.
Ability to interpret complex contracts and financial documentation.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.

Nice To Haves

CPA preferred.
Experience with Workday desired.

Responsibilities

Apply complex accounting principles and revenue recognition standards to financial transactions and reporting.
Review and interpret accounting-related clauses within custom contracts and legally executed documents.
Manage custom contract data within the ERP system to support billing and revenue recognition processing.
Maintain and update project system setups and revenue amortization schedules.
Review monthly ledger activity and account reconciliations with a focus on contract accounting compliance.
Collaborate with Billing, Collections, Operations, Finance, and Business Units to ensure accurate financial processing.
Ensure timely and accurate reporting of financial transactions in accordance with accounting standards.
Follow internal control procedures to safeguard the integrity of financial statements.
Analyze and explain fluctuations in service line revenue, balance sheets, and forecasts.
Lead or support special projects, including evaluation of accounting methods, procedures, and ad-hoc reporting requests.
