About The Position

The Senior Retail Reporting Analyst plays a key role in enabling data-driven decision-making across ALO’s global store fleet. This role is responsible for designing, building, and maintaining high-quality dashboards and reporting solutions that support Retail Operations, Field Leadership, and cross-functional partners. Reporting to the Director of Workforce Management & Analytics, this role partners closely with Finance, Data Engineering, and Retail stakeholders to ensure reporting is accurate, scalable, and actionable. The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in BI tools—ThoughtSpot strongly preferred—and a passion for translating complex data into intuitive insights that drive performance. This role requires strong technical execution, business acumen, and an operational mindset, and is well-suited for an experienced analyst who thrives in a fast-paced, high-growth retail environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Analytics, Data Science, or a related field preferred.
  • 3–5+ years of experience in a reporting or analytics role, preferably within retail or multi-unit operations.
  • Strong understanding of retail KPIs, including sales performance, labor, traffic, and store operations metrics.
  • Proven hands-on experience building dashboards in ThoughtSpot (strongly preferred), Tableau, or Power BI.
  • Advanced Excel skills; working knowledge of SQL or other query languages is a plus.
  • Demonstrated ability to synthesize complex data into clear, actionable insights for non-technical audiences.
  • High attention to detail with a strong commitment to data accuracy and quality.
  • Self-starter with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
  • Strong communication skills and comfort partnering with stakeholders at varying levels of the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and maintain dashboards and reports supporting retail sales, product, and operational KPIs.
  • Develop advanced visualizations in ThoughtSpot with a strong focus on usability, performance, and scalability.
  • Serve as a key analytics partner to Retail Operations and Field Leadership, translating business questions into clear, data-driven insights.
  • Support intake and prioritization of reporting requests in alignment with business needs and analytics roadmaps.
  • Partner with Finance and Data Engineering to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and alignment across reporting sources.
  • Perform ad-hoc analyses and deep dives to uncover trends, risks, and opportunities across the store fleet.
  • Conduct regular validation and audits of dashboards and datasets to maintain high standards of data integrity.
  • Create clear documentation and enablement materials to support self-service reporting for business users.
  • Maintain select manual or interim reporting processes as needed to support evolving business requirements.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of the retail reporting ecosystem by identifying opportunities for automation, simplification, and enhanced storytelling.
  • Champion best practices in data visualization, governance, and analytical rigor within the Retail Analytics function.
