FL111 is seeking a highly motivated Senior Research Associate with expertise in Cell and Molecular Biology to play a vital role in the company’s efforts to develop assays, screen compounds and integrate mechanism of action. This role requires a proactive, detail-oriented professional capable of working independently. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Cell and Molecular Biology or a related field (e.g. Pharmacology, Biochemistry, Biomedical Engineering), with at least 2-4 years of laboratory experience in bio-pharmaceutical industry
  • experience with plate-based competition biochemical assays, Western analysis and immunofluorescence
  • experience with small molecule drug discovery, including compound management
  • hands-on experience with human/mouse cells (immortalized and primary) and using various delivery technologies (e.g. transfection, transduction, nucleofection, etc).
  • experience with ELN systems and data analysis workflows and database storage and retrieval
  • candidates of various experience levels will be considered. Position to be determined commensurate with experience.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with CRISPR-based gene manipulation: knockout, interference activation
  • Experience with high content imaging, flow cytometry and quantitative PCR.
  • Hands-on experience with human PBMCs

Responsibilities

  • mammalian cell culture of both cancer cell lines and primary cells, including generation of genetically modified cell lines
  • confident, competent and agile in establishing new, and running existing, cell-based and biochemical assays
  • self-starter who can work cross-functionally between in vitro Biology and in vivo pharmacology groups
  • analyze complex datasets, use appropriate statistics, provide meaningful interpretation
  • collaborate with team to develop experimental plans, document results in an ELN, and make presentations to report findings to team
