About The Position

The Senior Research Associate, Antibody Sciences will be primarily responsible for the characterization and functional evaluation of novel antibodies against therapeutic targets, while cross-training in antibody discovery workflows. This role will include the generation, and validation of the tools needed for antibody screening and characterization, as well as execution of screening assays. The individual will have significant responsibility and scientific ownership within this function and is expected to be highly organized, motivated, intellectually curious, and capable of working independently. This role will contribute directly to the advancement of Immunome’s antibody discovery platform within a collaborative discovery organization.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in molecular biology, biochemistry, biophysics, or a related field
  • A minimum of 8 years of experience in the biotechnology or pharmaceutical industry, or a minimum of 6 years of experience with a Master’s degree
  • Hands-on experience with flow cytometry, cell sorting, and cell-based assay development and execution
  • Strong experimental design, troubleshooting, and scientific problem-solving skills
  • Ability to analyze, summarize, and clearly communicate complex datasets and scientific conclusions
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented with strong documentation practices
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently while contributing effectively within cross-functional research teams
  • Proficiency with Benchling, GraphPad Prism, Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including preparation and delivery of internal presentations

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with mammalian tissue culture, including primary cell culture, preferred
  • Experience generating overexpressing and knockout cell lines, preferred
  • Experience with cytotoxicity- and internalization-focused screening assays, preferred
  • Experience with Octet BLI for kinetics and reagent validation, preferred
  • Experience with single-cell platforms such as 10x Genomics, preferred
  • Familiarity with flow cytometry analysis software such as FlowJo

Responsibilities

  • Design, execute, and analyze cell-based assays to support antibody screening and characterization, with an emphasis on cytotoxicity and internalization
  • Perform multicolor flow cytometry, including cell sorting and magnetic bead separation (MACS/Stemcell)
  • Maintain mammalian tissue culture, including over expressing, native expressing tumor and primary cell cultures
  • Generate and characterize engineered cell lines, including overexpression and knockout models
  • Develop, validate, and qualify reagents and tools required for antibody screening workflows
  • Learn and apply Octet BLI for reagent validation and binding kinetics characterization
  • Support single-cell workflows, including experience with the 10x Genomics platform
  • Analyze, interpret, and summarize experimental data and communicate results and implications to project teams
  • Collaborate with colleagues across biology, chemistry, pharmacology, and translational medicine to achieve project goals
  • Organize experimental data to enable effective collaboration and knowledge sharing across research teams
  • Maintain detailed and accurate electronic laboratory notebooks documenting procedures, results, and conclusions
  • Prepare and present research findings to internal teams and contribute to project updates and strategic discussions
  • Stay informed on advances in techniques for producing and characterizing protein therapeutics
  • Proactively seek opportunities for professional development and contribute to the scientific growth of the Antibody Sciences team
