About The Position

We have an opportunity for a BMC Remedy Developer to join our talented IT Services team. The successful candidate will have fluency in BMC development principles that enables them to work with external development partners and key stakeholders to develop enterprise business solutions for our customers that leverage ITIL processes and best practices. The successful candidate will be part of a team responsible for the maintenance and enhancement of the BMC Remedy platform and must be able to act with a sense of urgency and adapt to changing priorities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, MIS or Business-related discipline
  • 9+ years of hands-on experience as a BMC Remedy developer
  • Experience developing and implementing systems using Agile/Scrum methodology
  • 9 years of experience with ITIL Service Management processes - ITIL certifications preferred
  • 5 years of Database administration, preferably MS SQL Server and Postgres
  • Previous experience working with and mentoring junior BMC Remedy developers
  • Understanding and experience related to advanced BMC Remedy development including Pentaho Spoon and webservices (REST & SOAP)
  • Must be able to meet government eligibility requirements

Responsibilities

  • Proven experience as a key technical resource leading the development of solutions in client environments.
  • Provide technical leadership and training, perform peer code reviews and ensure the BMC team follows development best-practices
  • Ability to create workflow objects and understanding the existing implementation
  • Experience in working with BMC Remedy Helix Version 20.03 or higher
  • Experience with ARS version 8.x, 19.x, 20x - Hands on knowledge in BMC Remedy Workflow objects work experience in troubleshooting AR client and Server logs
  • Ability to work in a collaborative multiapplication team environment
  • Generate operational reports and KPI analysis as needed
  • Prepare client facing and internal deliverables that are technology related
  • Transform functional requirements into detailed technical designs that represent actionable development tasks
  • Maintain production system reliability through utilization of change management process
  • Monitor health, usage and overall compliance of the application
