This position is a senior leadership role involving project, client, staff, and business development responsibilities, including: Training: This position requires OSHA health and safety, first aid, and CPR training and medical monitoring, paid for by the firm. We also offer professional development opportunities including technical conferences, in-house seminars, webinars, and mentoring, that allow our professionals to build the technical and business skills necessary to become successful consultants.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in engineering (civil, chemical, or environmental preferred) or geology. (required)
• Professional registration (i.e., P.E. or P.G.). (required)
• At least 8 years (10+ preferred) of direct environmental consulting experience in the Florida marketplace; or equivalent combination of education and experience. (required)
• Deep experience implementing assessment and remediation projects and programs under Chapter 62-780 FAC. (required)
• Experience in effective management of projects, including responsibility for resource allocation, quality, technical oversight, and financial management. (required)
• Experience mentoring and managing professional staff. (required)
• Ability to succeed in a fast-paced consulting environment, handle multiple project assignments, meet deadlines, and travel to client facilities as needed. (required)
• Valid U.S. driver’s license and a satisfactory driving record for business travel. (required)
• Up to 20% Fieldwork
• Up to 30% Overnight travel
• Drive personal, company, and rental vehicles to client or company project or office sites, and other business locations, as needed.

Nice To Haves

• Advanced degree in engineering or science. (preferred)
• Assessment/remediation experience with emerging contaminants and innovative technologies. (preferred)
• Experience with environmental due diligence and regulatory compliance projects. (preferred)
• Demonstrated success in developing new business and managing clients. (preferred)
• Current OSHA 40-hr HAZWOPER training and refreshers. (preferred)
• Health & Safety training, medical monitoring, and client-driven drug and background testing may be required.

Responsibilities

• Directing, managing, and implementing challenging technical projects involving site investigation and remediation, brownfield redevelopments, and due diligence
• Cultivating relationships with new and existing clients, resulting in the expansion of the Firm’s current practices and capabilities through new business opportunities
• Maintaining high visibility in the marketplace through regular client contact, participation in client-based professional organizations, and attendance and presentations at industry events
• Supervising and mentoring early career professionals
