About The Position

The Senior Relationship Banker assists members with a full range of financial products and services in a retail branch setting, including banking transactions, product sales, handling negotiables and offering excellent service. In addition, the Senior Relationship Banker is responsible for developing direct and indirect sales growth including but not limited to mortgage and auto lending. The incumbent performs all duties in compliance with regulatory requirements and with minimal supervision.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent; college degree preferred.
  • 5+ years’ experience in related disciplines, including sales, customer service or financial services preferred.
  • Solid knowledge and fluency in utilizing digital/virtual platforms to meet with internal/external contacts.
  • Strong sales, service and team orientation
  • Strong organization and verbal/written communication skills
  • Effective interpersonal skills
  • Detail-oriented, with solid basic mathematical skills
  • Basic Microsoft Office and keyboarding skills
  • Solid ability to navigate multiple software applications
  • Solid ability to work independently, utilizing tools to find information

  • Highly adaptive and open to changes as the organization grows and its needs evolve.
  • Understanding of financial products/services and industry regulations preferred.
  • Upon employment, must enroll and maintain registration with Nationwide Multistate Licensing System (NMLS) under Tech CU’s company registration.
  • May be required to travel occasionally to Tech CU locations outside of home branch, typically with advance notice.
  • May be required to occasionally attend offsite training, meetings or events, typically with advance notice.
  • Overnight travel unlikely.
  • Holds a clear & valid Drivers’ License.
  • Possesses current automobile insurance.
  • Willing to travel as required and to drive one’s own auto to conduct Tech CU business.

Responsibilities

  • Performs a wide variety of banking transactions with minimal supervision.
  • May participate in offsite business development events, such as Member Company wellness fairs and community activities, and activities, such as phone campaigns.
  • May attend networking events, business development sales calls to increase the visibility of the Tech CU brand.
  • Opens new member accounts and processes loan applications in person and via Virtual Branch.
  • May delivers Educational Workshops, using digital/virtual platforms and in person, to acquire business, raise awareness of Tech CU products/services, and its brand.
  • Delivers exceptional member service, ensuring requests and/or issues are researched and resolved in a timely manner.
  • Meets or exceeds sales goals ethically and in compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Enters qualified sales referrals into designated tracking system.
  • Receives and dispenses various denominations of coin and currency.
  • Processes all transactions accurately and efficiently, while maintaining member confidentiality.
  • Opens, closes and balances cash drawer daily, ensuring proper handling of cash and negotiables.
  • Occasionally travels to and works in branches outside of home branch as directed by leadership.
  • Maintains current knowledge of Tech CU products/services and competitive landscape.
  • Participates in Tech CU training as guided by manager, including compliance, product knowledge and soft skills.
  • May attend staff and company-wide meetings.
  • May offer periodic coaching to other less experienced staff.
