About The Position

The Illinois Department of Children and Family Services is seeking an organized, professional, and results oriented individual to serve as Senior Reimbursement Officer. Under direction, this position will manage and direct the activities of professional Reimbursement Officer staff who perform a variety of technical functions in order to obtain reimbursement from the federal government for child care/administrative costs on all youth statewide. The position serves as working supervisor of professional staff and analyzes quality and production to ensure that eligibility determination work meets the unit’s quality standards. This position provides a great opportunity for a motivated individual who is interested in playing a role in the reimbursement process for the Department of Children and Family Services. Requirements

  • Requires knowledge, skill, and mental development equivalent to completion of four years of college with courses in accounting, economics, or business administration
  • Requires two years of professional work experience in the reimbursement field
  • Requires the ability to pass a background check
  • Requires the possession of a valid driver's license and ability to travel

Responsibilities

  • Serves as Senior Reimbursement Officer, manages and directs the activities of professional Reimbursement Officer staff who perform a variety of technical functions in order to obtain reimbursement from the federal government for child care/administrative costs on all youth in care statewide, including the COBRA/LTC (Consolidated Omnibus Budget Reconciliation Act/Long Term Care) processes
  • Serves as working supervisor
  • Analyzes quality and production to ensure that eligibility determination work meets the unit's quality standards
  • Plans and implements work requirements, including LTC and COBRA
  • Revises EDU forms
  • Performs other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of the duties enumerated
