About The Position

Our G&A teams, including People, Strategic Operations, and Banking Operations, play a critical role in enabling our growth and ensuring we operate with rigor, clarity, and care. As we continue to scale, the strength of these teams directly shapes how we build. We are looking for a Senior Recruiter to support hiring across key G&A functions. In this role, you will partner closely with leaders across several departments to translate business priorities into thoughtful, high impact hiring strategies. This role is critical to Mercury’s continued growth. You will influence senior, opinionated stakeholders, design hiring strategies for complex and often specialized roles, and help strengthen how recruiting operates as we scale. While this role does not involve direct people management, you will operate as a leader on the recruiting team by mentoring others and setting the bar for excellence. We are looking for someone who is comfortable with ambiguity, moves with urgency, and brings a no task too small mindset to building durable systems from the ground up.

Requirements

  • Significant experience recruiting for G&A functions such as People, Operations, Strategy, Finance, Risk, Compliance, or similar business teams in high growth environments
  • Deep expertise in full cycle recruiting, including creative sourcing and closing complex offers
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence through trust, transparency, and insight
  • Comfort operating in ambiguity and building structure where none exists yet
  • A hands on, self starter mindset with a willingness to do whatever the moment requires
  • Clear, thoughtful, and precise communication skills

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a trusted hiring partner to leaders across People, Strategic Operations, and Banking Operations, advising on role scoping, hiring strategy, and execution
  • Own full cycle recruiting for a portfolio of G&A roles, from sourcing through close, including niche operational, analytical, and program driven positions
  • Influence and align senior stakeholders through data, sound judgment, and clear communication
  • Design thoughtful sourcing strategies for specialized or hard to fill roles in operationally rigorous environments
  • Maintain high standards in structured interviewing and candidate evaluation to ensure hiring quality and consistency
  • Mentor members of the recruiting team, share best practices, and help manage complex pipelines
  • Continuously improve recruiting efficiency by refining processes, tools, and candidate experience without compromising quality
  • Represent Mercury to top tier candidates, clearly articulating our mission, culture, and the opportunity to build foundational teams during a period of scale
