Requirements

  • Minimum of a high school diploma/GED/HiSet.
  • Advanced computer skills.
  • Ability to multitask.
  • Ability to use office equipment, including copy machines, computers, printers, telephones and four drawer vertical filing cabinets.
  • Ability to organize complex tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Must be able to pass a CORI background check.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate's degree
  • Two (2) years of experience.

Responsibilities

  • Greets clients.
  • Performs check-in and check-out with clients, including verifying insurance eligibility, entering information on lapsed insurance/new insurance, collecting co-pays and balances due and providing receipts, submitting cash sheets, updating client, demographics, notifying staff that client is checked in.
  • Schedules client appointments.
  • Enters and makes changes to staff schedules.
  • Completes administrative intake with clients, including providing intake packets to clients and collecting completed forms.
  • Answers calls and emails and responds to messages.
  • Completes referrals to specialists.
  • Completes daily reminder calls.
  • Completes prior authorizations.
  • Completes PTIs.
  • Transfers and closes cases in the electronic medical record.
  • Sends and distributes faxes and mail.
  • Works as a member of the support team.
  • Scans documents into the electronic medical record.
  • Assists doctors and clinicians with letters and referrals.
  • Maintains calendars, professional meetings, vacations, conferences, etc..
  • Performs other related job duties.
  • Complies with established division and program policies, procedures, and objectives.
  • Attends variety of meetings, conferences, and trainings as required or directed.
  • Demonstrates use of quality improvement in daily operations.
  • Complies with all health and safety regulations and requirements.
  • Respects diverse views and approaches, demonstrates Standards of Respect, and contributes to creating and maintaining an environment of professionalism, tolerance, civility and acceptance toward all employees, patients and visitors.
