As a Senior Radio Frequency (RF) Automation Test Engineer (ATE) at Raytheon’s Airborne Multi-Mission Electronics Center in sunny Goleta, CA, you’ll have the opportunity to design, develop, and validate advanced testing solutions for our state-of-the-art Electronic Warfare (EW) and Radar Warning Receiver (RWR) products. What You Will Do Work from concept to production testing, directly influencing the success of critical defense systems. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, develop automated test systems, create validation and test plans, and mentor production teams. Occasional travel (10-20%) to other Raytheon facilities and supplier sites will give you a broader perspective on our mission and impact. What You Will Learn Enhance your expertise in Radio Frequency (RF) testing, advanced automation, and system validation, all while working with industry-leading tools like NI LabVIEW and Python. Requirements

  • Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 5 years of prior relevant experience or an advanced degree in a related field and minimum 3 years’ experience.
  • Experience in electronic testing of Radio Frequency (RF) based systems, including the use of power supplies, signal/waveform generators, oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, and network analyzers.
  • Experience in converting design requirements into validation and test procedures.
  • Experience in designing test automation stands with automated equipment control.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with Radio Frequency (RF) components and specifications.
  • Interpersonal skills and excellent written/verbal communication in English.
  • Proficiency in NI LabVIEW and/or Python programming.
  • Experience with FPGA-based system programming and testing.
  • Familiarity with PCB design and layout tools like XPedition or Altium.
  • Experience in PCB signal integrity analysis using Hyperlynx or LTSPICE.
  • Familiarity in using MATLAB/Simulink for system modeling and analysis.
