About The Position

Bachelor's degree in biomedical or mechanical engineering (or related field). Minimum of 6 years' experience with a B.S. degree, minimum of 4 years' experience with an M.S. degree, or minimum of 2 year of experience with a Ph.D. Accomplished engineer with catheter/sheath experience, evidence of innovative problem solving, creative thinking, and driving tasks to completion. Experience in design control, risk management, and DV/DVAL execution. Proven leader with good communication, ability to navigate ambiguity, and prior experience leading teams and/or workstreams. Collaborative team player that works well with others and can provide technical leadership within a cross-functional team to help drive projects to completion. Must work Onsite at our Arbor Lakes, MN location. Experience in designing complex medical devices with commercialization experience through phase-gate processes. Strong leadership traits include independent thinking, self-motivation, strong communication skills, comfort with calculated risk-taking, and the ability to guide team members and mentor junior engineers/technicians. Demonstrated hands-on mechanical design expertise, preferably with single-use vascular devices and catheter development. Strong statistical analysis skills, with proficiency in tools such as Minitab. Experience developing test methods with hypothesis-driven experimental design. Solid clinical knowledge and experience in cardiovascular anatomy. Prior experience with SolidWorks, Windchill, and myBuy a plus.
