About The Position

As a Senior Quality Engineer, you will provide experienced quality support to product manufacturing, resolving defects and other issues and ensuring the product meets customer specifications.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or more in engineering or another related technical field with 5+ years' experience in quality assurance
  • Quality Management Systems ISO 9001, AS9100, IATF-16949, Quality Assurance Processes and New Product Development approval process APQP/PPAP.
  • Demonstrated Project management skills, solid analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects.
  • Trough understanding of federal, state, local and industry standards, guidelines and regulations.
  • This position is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) which requires U.S. person status. ITAR defines U.S. person as an U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident ( i.e. 'Green Card Holder'), Political Asylee, or Refugee.

Nice To Haves

  • ASE and/or Six Sigma Certification is preferred but not required.
  • Experience Certified Lean Six-Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Support the Plant Manager regarding the execution of the Quality Strategy around the Mission, Vision & Strategic Initiatives related to the manufacturing process improvement within the plant.
  • Support corporate quality initiatives as defined by the Regional Quality Director.
  • May assist in the hiring of Quality Engineers and oversee, mentor, and train junior quality engineers on policies and procedures.
  • Improve process capability by leveraging the Plan Do Check Act (PDCA) and Continuous Improvement methodology.
  • Process improvement and cost reduction.
  • Create/improve Standard Operating Procedures and deliver training to the Quality Engineers and operators.
  • Partner with all business functions to identify and eliminate any roadblock through working creatively within the team.
  • Address any process failure through formal Root Cause Analysis and Corrective Action Process
  • Engage in customer audits, complaints and problem-solving issues.
  • Review top issues for scrap and rework, initiate actions to reduce or eliminate these issues
  • Oversee New Product Launches and fulfill all Quality deliverables in the product launch cycle
  • Maintain and improve quality systems to maintain ISO9001 certification
