About The Position

POSITION SUMMARY: The Senior Proposal Pricing Analyst supports the Company’s National Accounts portfolio by developing pricing strategies for complex, multi-location bids. This role leads pricing model development and profitability analysis to inform high-impact proposal decisions. In partnership with Sales, Operations, and Finance, the Senior Proposal Pricing Analyst validates assumptions, assesses market dynamics, and delivers pricing recommendations aligned to growth and margin objectives. The role also compiles key financial data for RFP responses and executive reviews while driving process and model improvement within the department . PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES: Lead financial modeling and profitability analysis for complex, multi-location National Account RFPs, renewals, and strategic pricing initiatives. Evaluate financial risk and opportunity within proposals; challenge assumptions and recommend pricing strategies aligned to growth, retention, and margin objectives. Translate operational, market, and competitive insights into clear, defensible pricing recommendations for senior leadership. Partner cross-functionally with National Account Sales, Field Operations, Finance, and Billing to validate cost inputs, assess service feasibility, and ensure pricing accuracy. Analyze portfolio trends, win/loss results, and margin performance to inform continuous refinement of pricing strategy. Drive process improvement initiatives to enhance modeling efficiency, data accuracy, standardization, and scalability within the pricing function. Present analyses and recommendations to leadership with clarity and executive-level business acumen. Mentor and upskill team members by sharing best practices in financial modeling, analytical thinking, and pricing strategy development. Provides support/coverage for department management and team members. Performs other job-related duties as assigned or apparent.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 7 years working in a pricing, financial analysis, sales analysis or similar role.
  • 5 years of pricing, financial analysis, sales analysis, or estimating experience.
  • Experience using analytical skills requiring a keen attention to detail.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including financial modeling, scenario analysis, pivot tables, and macros (VBA experience preferred).

  • Previous experience with proposal pricing or financial analysis in the waste industry.
